  • 1.5 lbs Sirloin steak tips trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning store-bought or homemade
  • 1 tsp Smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne pepper optional
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 1/4 cup Green onions chopped

Fettuccine Ingredients

  • 1 lb Fettuccine pasta
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1/4 cup Parsley chopped fresh, optional

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil for the pasta.
  • In a medium bowl, combine steak tips with olive oil, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and pepper. Toss to coat.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak tips and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked to desired doneness (about 5-7 minutes for medium-rare). Remove and set aside.
  • Add butter to the skillet; melt. Add green onions and cook for 1 minute until softened.
  • While steak cooks, cook fettuccine according to package directions. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup pasta water.
  • In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and simmer. Reduce heat; stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season. Add reserved pasta water if needed.
  • Add fettuccine to the creamy sauce and toss. Add steak tips and toss gently to combine.
  • Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley (if using).

Notes

For homemade Cajun seasoning, combine equal parts paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, black pepper, oregano, and thyme. Adjust amounts to your preference. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
