  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups Milk
  • 1/4 cup Melted butter
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Chocolate chips
  • 4 scoops Vanilla Ice Cream

  • Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips.
  • Pour 1/2 cup of batter onto the preheated waffle iron. Cook according to the manufacturer's instructions, usually 3-5 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.
  • Serve the waffles immediately, topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

For extra chocolatey waffles, add 1/4 cup of cocoa powder to the dry ingredients. You can also experiment with different types of chocolate chips, such as milk chocolate, dark chocolate, or white chocolate.
