  • 2 large Potatoes peeled and shredded
  • 4 Eggs
  • 4 Burger buns
  • 4 Cheese slices cheddar, American, or your preference
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • as needed Your favorite burger toppings lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup, mustard

  • Prepare the hash browns: Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the shredded potatoes, season with salt and pepper, and cook until golden brown and crispy, about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Form the burger patties: Gently mix the ground beef with salt and pepper. Form into 4 patties.
  • Cook the burgers: In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter. Add the burger patties and cook to your desired doneness, about 4-5 minutes per side for medium.
  • Fry the eggs: In a separate skillet, fry the eggs to your liking.
  • Assemble the burgers: Lightly toast the burger buns if desired. Place the hash browns on the bottom bun, top with the cooked burger patty, a fried egg, cheese, and your favorite toppings. Place the top bun on and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, add some chopped onions or garlic to the ground beef. You can also use different types of cheese or experiment with various toppings.
