Ingredients
  

Blackening Seasoning

  • 2 tbsp Paprika
  • 1 tbsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tbsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Salt

Fish and Salsa

  • 1 lb White Fish Filets (Cod, Tilapia) Cut into 4 equal portions
  • 1 Mango diced
  • 1/2 Red Onion finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup Cilantro chopped
  • 2 tbsp Lime Juice
  • 8 Corn or Flour Tortillas
  • Toppings (optional) Shredded cabbage, shredded cheese, sour cream

Instructions

  • In a bowl, combine all the blackening seasoning ingredients.
  • Coat the fish filets evenly with the blackening seasoning.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat with a little oil.
  • Cook the fish for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until cooked through and flaky.
  • While the fish cooks, prepare the mango salsa by combining the diced mango, red onion, cilantro, and lime juice in a bowl.
  • Warm the tortillas according to package directions.
  • Assemble the tacos by placing the blackened fish on the tortillas, topping with mango salsa and any desired additional toppings.

Notes

For a milder flavor, reduce the amount of cayenne pepper. You can also use other types of fish, such as mahi-mahi or snapper.
