  • 8 oz Pasta (any short shape)
  • 1 15-ounce can Canned crushed tomatoes
  • 4 ounces Cream cheese Softened
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese Grated
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper or to taste
  • 1/4 cup Fresh basil Chopped (optional)

  • Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain.
  • In a large pot, combine crushed tomatoes, softened cream cheese, milk, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Stir over medium heat until the cream cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
  • Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat.
  • Simmer for 1-2 minutes, or until heated through.
  • Stir in fresh basil (if using).
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

For a spicier dish, add a pinch of red pepper flakes. You can also use different types of cheese, such as mozzarella or ricotta.
